Metropolitan Shadows

Metropolitan Shadows, 2000, 35 x 72 x 5 inches (each image) installation variable, digital prints on fabric, florescent light, gels.

The images of shadows are cast by sculptures in the collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The shadows from the artworks create blocked light projections which are photographed, and the photographs printed on translucent fabric are lit. In this work, light illuminates shadows.
